Christmas 2008
We shall be serving a classic and delicious Christmas Day lunch featuring local produce (sourced from within 30 Miles of Tetbury) and the best free range turkeys that Gloucestershire has to offer. Our beautiful fir trees will take pride of place - their lights all a-twinkle, and Father Christmas will undoubtedly leave a gift under the tree for each of our younger guests. Please book early so that we can make your family's Christmas lunch - around our massive log fire - extra special this year.
The hotel is open over Christmas and we don't bump up the room rates, so please call us for availability. On Christmas night we have a reduced bar and restaurant service as we treat our staff to a well-deserved feast, and Boxing Day breakfast is a continental affair- but everything else runs as normal.
We also have a lip-smacking Christmas party menu if you wish to pull a cracker or two and get festive with your colleagues - call us for more information or if you would like a tailored event and book early!

New Year's Eve 2008
The Priory Inn knows how to "do" New Year's Eve.
- We know because we have listened to what our guests want:
- - comfortable accommodation (ontop of a great buzzy gastropub - no taxi hassles);
- - the same high level of service they would expect at any other time of the year;
- - not to be ripped off 'just because it is New Year's Eve';
- - a great menu with delicious choices that will make the evening really special;
- - a party atmosphere without being crowded out by loud revellers;
- - no babysitter needed - most monitors work from room to the restaurant;
- - a good choice of champagne, wine and sparkling wine (to match all budgets); and
- - the opportunity to release some energy to disco classics after dinner.
So we have designed a one-night package around what we think are these very simple requirements (maintaining our food and drink commitment to our local farms and producers):
For £289 per double room, we are offering an overnight stay in one of our simple but delightfully comfortable rooms (one of our FAQs is "where did you get your beds...").
Within this price: a 5-course gourmet dinner for 2 adults with a "tasteful" disco to see in the New Year on 31st December and tickets to The National Arboretum at Westonbirt (5 minutes drive) to blow away the cobwebs on the first day of the New Year.
If you are bringing the whole family, then our normal policy applies that we welcome under 12s and they can share your room at no additional cost (except for meals and drinks). If however they join you during dinner on New Year's Eve, then they are charged at the full dinner rate of £75.00 per person. If they have a separate room or interconnecting room, then they are also charged at the full rate of £289 per room. If you are interested in staying the night before or after New Years Eve - please call and we will chat about what we can do for you.
We hope to hear from you soon (as our rooms are starting to get booked-up)
We also of course welcome local people looking for a great New Year's Eve to book their tables early (or buy a bar-only ticket which includes canapes, disco from 10pm and the best New Year atmosphere for miles around).
