Christmas 2009

We believe Christmas should be a beautifully simple and yet deliciously cosy affair!
Of course the family takes priority and at The Priory Inn, you will be in a true home-from-home environment. For Christmas Day lunch we shall serve a classic menu featuring food from within our 30 Mile Zone and the very best free range turkeys that Gloucestershire has to offer.

Our real Christmas trees take pride of place with twinkling lights, and Father Christmas will undoubtedly leave a gift under the tree for each of our younger guests. Please book early so that we can make your family's Christmas lunch - around our massive log fire - extra special this year.

The hotel is open over Christmas and we charge normal weekend rates, so please call for availability. On Christmas night we have a limited service as we treat our staff to a well-deserved feast, but everything else runs as normal.

We also have a lip-smacking Christmas party menu if you wish to pull a cracker or two and get festive with your colleagues or a group of friends - call us for more information and book early!

New Year's Eve 2009

The Priory Inn knows how to "do" New Year's Eve.  We know because we have llistened to what our guests want:

- comfortable accommodation (ontop of a great buzzy gastropub - no taxi hassles);

- the same high level of service they would expect at any other time of the year;

- not to be ripped off 'just because it is New Year's Eve';
- a great menu with delicious choices that will make the evening really special;
- a party atmosphere without being crowded out by loud revellers;
- a good choice of champagne, wine and sparkling wine (to match all budgets); and
- the opportunity to release some energy to disco classics after dinner.

So we have designed a two-night package around what we think are these very simple requirements (maintaining our 30 Mile Food Zone and commitment to our local farms and producers):

For £269 per person, we are offering a 2 night stay in one of our simple but delightfully comfortable rooms (one of our FAQs is "where did you get your beds...").

Within this price: 3-course à la carte dinner on the night before (or night after) New Year's Eve; a delicious dinner with live music and dancing on 31st December and a glass of local bubbly to get you in the mood, plus tickets to The National Arboretum at Westonbirt (5 minutes drive) to blow away the cobwebs!

IIf you are bringing the whole family, then our normal policy applies that we welcome under 12s and they can share your room at no additional cost (except for meals and drinks). If however they join you during dinner on New Year's Eve, then they are charged at the full dinner rate of £55 per person. If they have a separate room or interconnecting room, then they are also charged at the full rate of £269 per person.

We also of course encourage local people looking for a great New Year's Eve to book their tables early (or buy a bar-only ticket which includes canapes, music and the best New Year atmosphere for miles around).
